This is an incomplete specimen. The species was originally described as Murchisonia copei in 1881 by White from the area around Taos, New Mexico. It has also been called Goniasma copei. I have followed the Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology in calling it Stegocoelia (Taosia) copei. (Length 1 cm.)
