Specimen #709
Taxon: Palaeozygopleura? scitula (Meek and Worthen)
Locality: McCoy, Eagle County, CO
Age: Pennsylvanian Period, Late Atokan Stage
Rock unit: Minturn Formation
Collector: W. Itano

I have taken the identification from Ch. 13 of Fossils of Ohio, Bulletin 70, Ohio Division of Geological Survey, 1996. The question mark indicates some uncertainty on the part of the authors as to the genus. Elsewhere, the same species is called Pseudozygopleura scitula or Palaeostylus (Pseudozygopleura) scitula. (Scale in cm.)
