Taxon: Platyceras (Orthonychia) parvum (Swallow)
Locality: McCoy, Eagle County, CO
Age: Pennsylvanian Period, Late Atokan Stage
Rock unit: Minturn Formation
Collector: W. Itano

This gastropod seems to have been parasitic, since it is sometimes found attached to crinoids. The scale is in cm. Orthonychia is here considered to be a subgenus of the genus Platyceras, as indicated by the parentheses. This is consistent with the Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology. However, others treat Orthonychia as a separate genus.
