This is a crinoid cup, viewed from the side. Prof. Gary Webster of Washington State University, Pullman, Washington has identified it as Aaglaocrinus keytei, a species which was first described from Minturn Formation specimens by Strimple and Moore (originally Aglaocrinus keytei). [Strimple, H. L., and Moore, R. C., 1973, Middle Pennsylvanian crinoids from central Colorado, University of Kansas Paleontological Contributions, Paper 66, p. 8] This specimen has been donated to the Denver Museum of Natural History.
